Messing about on the Mersey

                Enjoy a paddle through South Manchester
                              along the River Mersey 
                      in Open Canoes or Sit on Tops . 

We will either guide you down the river in an Open Canoe (Canadians) or you can hire from our fleet of new Sit on Top kayaks, we will collect you and your friends or colleagues at an agreed point down river. A journey can last from 1 ¹/₂ hrs to a complete day dependent on you.

We are based at Burnage Rugby Football Club in South Manchester, with easy access to the River Mersey Canoe Trail.  BRFC also offer a 5 a side football pitch and a 9 hole golf course, catering can be organized via the club as well ( we can bring in mountain biking/archery/climbing). A good set up for a multi activity day - maybe tied into a stag or hen weekend.

Ample parking, good changing facilities and refreshments available. 

                                            The ideal venue for canoeing

        Located only 5 minutes from Junction 1 of the M60 (The Stockport Pyramid)
  or 2 minutes from East Didsbury Tesco on Kingsway.

 You will find a friendly welcome for you and your group. 

Leave your  car and possessions in a secure 
car park and enjoy the welcome of BRFC. 
 
Once changed and briefed a canoe down 
   the River Mersey awaits.

(alternative starting points can be arranged - maybe youre local to Sale 
and only want to paddle the lower section down to Carrington - you could 
start from Trafford Metrovicks and paddle down to Carrington)

 Our 10 large Venture 16 Canoes allow a stable journey and have
 capacity to carry  lunch and gear in dry containers (provided). 

8 Sit on Tops, available for hire or as part of a guided trip.

We will supervise you at the top of the river then off you go!
We'll pick you up later at an agreed time and venue.
