I come to canoeing from a background of working in Residential Childcare, 
Special Schools and the past 10 years as a Primary School teacher. 
I am actively involved in a local Church in South Manchester involved with youth
and community work.


The River Mersey through South Manchester is moving water with occasional  small riffles.. With the steep banks careful consideration has been given to the canoes available. Sit On Tops are ideal for the unaccompanied paddler, any forays into the river are quickly remedied by simply climbing back on and off you go again. The large Open Boats hold a lot more water and to try to empty any water from the bank may at certain points be tricky, that's why you'll be with one of our coaches who if needed will empty your boat on the river and have you soon back in.

All coaches hold current BCU qualfications for the remit of the water and full public liability insurance is held for the activities offered.
